Nigerian Bar Association, (NBA), the Body of Nigerian lawyers has called for the immediate suspension of the DSS Boss Yusuf Bichi.
The inversion of the Federal high court sitting is “disgraceful” word Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) uses to described the action of Department of State Security (DSS) yesterday in Abuja.
The Association made the call via press Statement yesterday after the shameful action of the DSS to rearrest Omoyele Sowore and Bakare in the court premises.
The copy of the press statement was made available to the media by the NBA spokesman, Kunle Edun.
“We make this demand bearing in mind the fact that the DSS under his leadership has established itself as a brutish and irresponsible agency that derives immense pleasure from violating the fundamental rights of Nigerians and disrespecting court orders.” extract from the statement.
The body equally demand quick investigation of the matter, so that all the perpetrators involved will be brought to books.
“The Federal Government of Nigeria and the National Assembly [should] immediately investigate the shameful conduct by the DSS and ensure that all persons found culpable are duly punished in accordance with the law.”
NBA also demand that all political case handled by DSS Should be transfer to the office of the Attorney General of the Federation.
The body also said that the AGF is the Chief Law officer of the nation not DSS boss.
