Kogi Lawmakers, Senator Smart Adeyemi, senator representing Kogi west has called on the Federal Government (FG) of Nigeria to situate headquarters of National Rice council in Lokoja, capital city of Kogi State.
Adeyemi who is the soul sponsored of National Rice Council bill, applauded President Muhammad Buhari over the border closure, stating that it has help to save wastage.
The Senator also pointed out Rice mill plant build by Governor Yahaya Bello situated in Kogi West.

“Today while contributing on the floor of senate Distinguish Sen Smart Adeyemi speaking on rice production in nigeria told the world of the muti billion naira rice mill Built by GYB in KOGÌ west to the joy of Apc senators!!
He also commended PMB for the closure of the boarders thereby saving wastage and saving foeign earners of FGN. Speaking on the floor of the Senate. Distinguish Sen Smart Adeyemi proposed a bill for NATIONAL RICE COUNCIL
Sen Smart Adeyemi advocated that the headquarters should be in lokoja due to many advantages of the location of KOGÌ state capital to the nation.”
