Additional of N70 Million Recovered for Kwara State Government by EFCC

The Economic and financial crimes (EFCC) yesterday Recovers Additional of N70 Million for Kwara State Government.

Disclosing the development, the Ilorin zonal office of the commission report;

“The Ilorin Zonal Office of the EFCC has recovered additional N70, 000,000 (Seventy Million Naira) for Kwara State Government in its ongoing efforts to recover the looted funds allegedly stolen by corrupt individuals. It would be recalled that the Commission had on the 11th of October, 2019, handed over the sum of N112, 000,000 (One Hundred and Twelve Million Naira) being recoveries from corrupt individuals, to the Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq in Ilorin. Speaking as a Guest today, 18th of December, 2019 at the Nigerian Television Authority, Ilorin on a Programme: “Morning Safari”, the Zonal Head of the EFCC, Mr Isyaku Sharu said the Seventy Million Naira was recovered in the ongoing investigations into the spending of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS).”
