The WASA is an annual event that brings together all the men and women officers of the Nigerian Army with the members of the Civil society to socialize and have fun together to show sense of belongings to the general public. The WASA includes some activites like the cultural dance, thug of war, paying respect to falling heroes, Award presentation to best military performing men and honouring of the dignitries at the event.
During the event, His Excellency Governor Zulum was among the dignitries that were Honoured with award of Excellence for his tireless effort to ensure that Everlasting peace returns not only to Gwoza but Borno State at large.
His Excellency Gov. Zulum applauded the COAS for this laudable achievements of hosting the WASA in Gwoza, one of the strong holds of Boko Haram Insurgents which indicates that peace is gradually coming to Gwoza.
