I reiterated my commitment to free, fair and credible elections in Nigeria – President Buhari

President Muhammad buhari has said that he has reiterated his commitment to free, fair and credible election in Nigeria.

Buhari said this today at the state House, in Abuja as he received Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Professor Yakub mahmood.

According to the President, INEC chairman and others commission leader were in the state House to brief the President on the 2019 election.

On the briefs, the president said that all court case has been terminated.

Buhari said, “Today the leadership of INEC briefed me on the 2019 elections. They disclosed that all court cases terminating at the Court of Appeal have been concluded.”

He, further added, “I reiterated my commitment to free, fair and credible elections; Nigerians must be able to freely vote for candidates of their choice. Our elections must be done in a violence-free atmosphere, devoid of intimidation or malpractices. It is the duty of the police to accomplish this, and it is what I expect in the elections immediately ahead, and going forward.”
