Kogi Poly School Fees Saga; SUG President Comrade UMAR JAFARU OMEIZA, called for calm

The attention of the SUG President of Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja Comrade UMAR JAFARU OMEIZA have been drawn to the threats of the students of organizing protest over the increment of school fees.

The SUG President Comrade UMAR JAFARU OMEIZA on a statement signed by him on monday through his Media Secretary has urge the entire students of the institution to stay calm and maintain peace in the Polytechnic as He meet with the management for roundtable discussion and get back to the students.

“My attention have been drawn to the online threats of the students over the increment of tuition fee. I urge the entire students of the Polytechnic to stay calm and also maintain peace as I make swift move to the management for meeting” He said.

He further explained that He never signed any agreement document of the increment of tuition fee before it was announced.

“I also wish to let the entire students who are lamenting that I signed an agreement document with the management to increase the school fees that it’s not true. I never signed any agreement document with the management over the increment of school fees” He said

The President further stressed that students gave him ultimatum of meeting you with their interest or risk a protest. He also charged the students to be law abiding as they are resuming from the festive season.

“The students have given me an ultimatum to meet up to their demand or risk a protest, I wish to urge all students to please give us the benefit of negotiations with the management as we know our oath in office is to protect the entire students and maintain peace”
He said.
