Young man identity as Idris was allegedly killed today 18th of January 2020 in Kabawa Area of Lokoja Kogi State.
Abdulahi Bala Who give the report, said the killers cultist and late Idris were all from Kabawa Area in Lokoja.
Late Idris has since been buried according to the Islamic tradition.
Bala said, “Unprecedented Sad Event at Kabawa!
This young man by name Idris (Ndagi) was killed last last by some cultists at Kabawa of which both the killers and the killed are from Kabawa.
Is this how we were known before?
Shall we continue like this?
Can this deviant behaviors lead to the development of our community?
We were known and called before as uneducated people!
Violence set of people!
Backward set of people!
But Alhamdulilah! We now have abundant graduates and more to compete with other communities. We are known as violence set of people of which we are not because, we always fight for social justice and stand firmly against any breach of human rights but now we stand to fight ourselves by the use of Cutlass, Axe, Bottles, Knives and others for unnecessary reasons. I totally condemned it as Unislamic.
The way forward to CURB this anti social behaviors are:
No any Islamic leader should accompany or lead the funeral procession of any cult member being killed in such act.
The head of every household should monitor the movement and behaviors of his words (children)
And we should have internal security that will be reporting anybody found guilty of such humanistic and animalistic tendencies to the appropriate authorities to swing into action.
If the aforementioned are done, then our community will progress and develop. Hence, what had happened to Mr A today will happen to Mr B or C tommorow (It is not a prayer or wish).
