Supreme court upholds elections of Simon Lalong of Plateau,and Bala of Bauchi governors

Supreme court on Monday 20th of January 2020 upheld the elections of Governor Simon Lalong, of Plateau state, and Governor Bala Mohammed, of Bauchi State.

Governor Simon Lalong of APC was declared winner of the Plateau Gubernatorial election bt the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), but Jeremiah Useni, of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rival, had challenged his election victory.

Likewise Mohammaed Abubakar of the APC had also challenged the election victory of Mohammed Bala who of the PDP.

Useni and Abubakar lost at the tribunal, they were not satisfied with judgment, so the headed to the supreme court.

The supreme court on Monday, Sylvester Ngwuta, the judge who headed the seven-man panel, strikeouts the appeal filed by Useni and Abubakar.
