A 45 years old woman identified as Zainab Suleiman has been remanded in prison for inflicting injuries on her 12-year old niece, Victoria in Ondo State.
Zainab allegedly flogged her niece in a bid to discipline her, which resulted to injuries on her body that demand medical attention in the hospital.
The report disclose that the accuse allegedly used her fingernails and horsewhip to inflict deep wounds on the body of the 12-year-old niece on the 31st of January 2020.
Zainab was a mother of three children, but lost all the children via undisclosed reasons
She however, pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge bordering on assaults and unlawful maltreatment of the minor.
