We totally demoralized to fight Boko Haram, b/c operations allowance was stop since past 6 month – Army Troops

Soldiers fighting Boko Haram terrorist has confessed reason behind frequent attack by Boko Haram terrorist.

the Nigerian Army Operation group otherwise known as Operation Lafiya Dole in the northeast has revealed that some of the major reasons for the inability of the group to defeat Boko Haram terrorist is that their operational allowance has been stop for the past six month

In a statement signed by one of the members of the group, Limidi Adewale on Friday said: “Unfortunately, most of our gallant soldiers and our mentors who usually motivated us, which led to our numerous victories due to their gallantries and for confronting BHT anywhere they are in the battlefront.

“Now, their operational allowances has been stopped (a reward for their effrontery) since the past six months. Secondly, the Army authority did not acknowledge their gallantry sacrifices, with no single compensation given for their gallantry sacrifices.”

“Also, the Army authority did not give a special promotion to the wounded soldiers. Several soldiers attempted to commit suicide, because of the ill-treatment meted on them by the authority.

“These wounded soldiers are our mentors and standing heroes who supposed to be national heroes but, now end up to become national horrors.

“The implications of neglecting and withdrawal of Operational Allowances, and other welfare meant for wounded soldiers have already discouraged the zeal and performance of my entire colleagues on the front line here in North East, thereby making them not to put in their best in fighting terrorists in order to avoid becoming wounded soldiers too.”
