Nigeria minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has disclosed what has hindered Nigerian government from completing Lagos-Ibadan railway.
Amaechi told newsmen that, Coronavirus, which Nigeria confirm it first case on the 27th of February 2020 is the reason behind the inability of the government to have completed the railway.
He further said despite that, the railway is nearly completion.
On the reason, he said CCECC workers, working on the road are still in China, they cannot come to Nigeria, because of the deadly virus.
Amaechi said “If not for coronavirus we would have finished the Lagos-Ibadan rail, although the project is nearly completed. The CCECC workers are still in China.”
