FEDERATION OF IGBOORA STUDENTS’ UNION

OFFICE OF THE
WELFARE DIRECTOR

Congratulations Dr. Adebayo Anthony Adepoju on your new appointment as the Oyo state Chairman of Water Corporation.

Dear [Dr. Adebayo Anthony Adepoju]

Heartfelt congratulations to you on your new appointment. I was extremely thrilled once I heard the news and I am very happy for you.

Everything you have done and accomplished has led to this point and you truly deserve it. You have worked so hard on yourself and created the necessary advantage to convince others of your potential and abilities; it all paid off in the end.

I will also encourage you to make oyo state water corporation work again.
Because water is known to be an inexhaustible resource because the total supply of it in the biosphere is not affected by human activities. Recycling time depends on various factors.

It is not uniformly distributed all over the world and not readily available in the quantity and quality required in most parts on the earth surface. This piece has examined the sources, the crisis of scarcity, and development of water and alternatives in Igbo-Ora, oyo state, Nigeria. The climate is tropical continental.
The major occupation is farming. Major sources of water supply are the ponds, rivers, lakes, and rainfall. Opeki Dam is perpetually dry, that is, not to talk of the pipeline networks and taps that are spent.
The consequences of the crisis of inadequacies have been so grievous. Whatever is available must be conserved and preserved to meet all needs.

A revisit to Opeki Dam for purpose of rehabilitation is imperative. At the interim, rain water should be harvested, stored and put to use on a large scale on farms and for small scale industrial productions. Farmers should make maximum use of dews.

Oyan Dam could be made to serve Igbo-Ora community. Damming Ofiki River is also suggested.

Moreover, most of the resident of these locations can hardly afford borehole or well to complement their water requirements. Hence they predominantly depend on rainwater and water from stream or spring which are seasonal . Some of these water sources dry up during the dry season living the resident wondering about for water.

We are looking forward to see changes in our region on water corporation sector may the lord God almighty be with you throughout your stay in office.

I once again congratulate you over your appointment, I should equally advise you to remain unrelenting in the arduous task ahead in order to ensure that every citizen of the state has access to potable water.

Why this Corporation is important is that when the people have access to clean and potable water, then it will go a long way in reducing diseases in the state.

I wish you the best of luck on your new post.

I have no doubt that you will excel in this role and make everyone proud.

I look forward to even more success news about you, which you are very much capable of.

Once again congratulations.

Yours in selfless service to humanity
