Hon. Ahmed Dahiru known as Hacco, Kogi State House of Assembly member, representing Okene II Constituency, has called the people of Kogi central to remain calm about the Federal High Court judgment which pronounced Ajaokuta LGA, Lokoja and Kotonkarfe as part of Kogi East which is tagged as unverifiable judgement that is less dense compare to the linear expansion of rivets.
In his statement made available by his special adviser on media and publicity, Comr. Akuvada Gabriel, He said, Ebira paramount leaders, HRM Dr. Ado Ibrahim, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland including His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello is set to take a legal action on appealing the judgment.
He said, nobody should take law into his hand that the necessary action has been putting in place.
Even without an argument, history has it that the name Ajaokuta coined from our great fathers who settled down there farming discovered that a bird we called Aja which have both diannual and nuctional traits of living organisms use to rest on one of the mountain and upon this discoveries they decided to name the place as AJAOKUTA and throughout this period it is only farming they are doing there using the Igala as a labourer due to the love of strangers in the heart of every Ebira men and women and even allow some of them to come and settled down with their wives and were given portion of land to be farming and earn a good living. Later Ajaokuta became a Local government extracted from Okene LGA then that Kogi was created after Late Adamu Attah served as the then Kwara Governor.
Upon creation of state the igala speaking language moved to create theirs, known as Okura state and the then Ebira Elites call them to become part of kogi state as a result of love and kindness and they were allowed to rule kogi state which Prince Audu was the Governor and when it is the turn of Ebira an Okun they refused to step aside by not mincing words it will be known that water give distinctive differences between two languages which is Itobe and by analysis their water is gummy compare to ours and the soil as well not going too far the most sincere and truthful among them knows whose train is robbed.
The bridge give the clear differences I wonder where this at a time where Gov. Bello have unite us to see,hear and say as one. This make me to borrow words from Engr. Salam ozi Simama who said long ago in one of his article that: the nomenclature of some living things are in such a form that remember the goodness you have render them so long quoting one Mr. Thompson Abutu a lecturer in the department of general studies Kogi state polytechnic,Lokoja in one of his novel King NGOMA DIED AGAIN which explain the weight of greediness in the life of some being. An enemy to you today remain your enemy no matter how you feed,cloth and make life easy for him. So may Allah deliver us from our enemy.
His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello, is a peace lover and a man that trend path of peace who will never allow any man to bridge the peaceful coexistence between Kogi central, kogi East and kogi West which brought about EBIGO agenda. So every sons and daughters of Ebira opete should remain calm that a stone can kill a thousand birds.
