As the Governorship tussle fast approaching in Ondo State, just like Edo State, Akeredolu mentioned that upon hearing the amount, N22.5 million APC nomination form, he literally screamed because, according to him, he did not have the money.
Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo has described the cost of nomination and expression of interest forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as being too
expensive.
The governor said that he frowned at the cost of the form and raised an alarm when it was declared at the APC caucus meeting,
He said: “When I contested the first and
second time in 2012 and 2016 respectively, I raised the money on my own but was not as much as this.
“When the fee for this year’s election was announced, I screamed that it was too much, and that I don’t have
the money.”
