RB Liepzig star, Timo Werner Joins Chelsea.

Timo Werner who has been a highly sought after player by major clubs all over Europe has gone from one transfer speculation with various clubs to another. We’ve seen him almost joining Liverpool at a point after confirming talks with Coach,Jurgen Kloop over a phone call. But all those talks and speculations never materialised due to Liverpool’s financial concerns giving way to other clubs most especially Chelsea to come in and it wasn’t bad one after all confirming, yesterday the signing of the striker who has done so well for himself scoring 32 goals for Leipzig this season.

He had a release clause of £53 million which has been met by Chelsea and will now join the club in July thereby preventing him from playing anymore part of Leipzig’s Champions league campaign this season.

In a statement made by new signing,Timo Werner confirming his move he said “I am delighted to be signing for Chelsea it is a very proud moment for me to be joining this great club. I look forward to next season with my new teammates,my new manager and of course the Chelsea fans together we’ll have a very successful future of us”

His signing follows Ajax Winger, Hakim Ziyech who has already signed for Chelsea ahead of a very promising next season. Coach, Frank Lampard is looking to really give his squad a boost by bringing in talented players and he has the full support of club owner Roma Abramovich who has gone all out with the cash to do so. Despite other clubs trying to minimize spending Abramovich is all set to produce another footballing revolution at Stamford bridge.

The arrival of Timo will give the squad more fire power upfront as goals have not been coming easy for Chelsea this year with Striker Tammy Abraham scoring just once in 2020 and even lost his place to Olivier Giroud in the starting XI prior to the three-month football shutdown due to the corona virus. Fans welcomed the exciting player with good cheers and merry wishes of goodlucks as a new chapter is about to be opened in his career.
