Tottenham vs Manchester United :The Fernandes/Pogba partnership.

Manchester United will return to EPL action today when they visit Tottenham Hotspur. After almost three months of no football due to the Corona virus pandemic, the Premier League including some other leagues all around the world finally resumed but with stiff precautionary measures. Games resumed in the EPL on Wednesday the 17th of June and one high profile fixture on that day was  the Man city versus Arsenal match in which Arsenal were beaten woefully by City 3 goals to nil.

In a follow up to that, coming to our screens later on today is another high profile fixture between Tottenham and Manchester United one match that’ll definitely prove to be very interesting to watch. With the return of key players for both sides, Harry Kane for Tottenham Hotspur, Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba for United this is definitely one to look out for.

Paul Pogba hasn’t had it easy this season as he has been plagued by injuries restricting him to just five starts in the Premier League this season the last of those came in September last year against Arsenal. But due to the lockdown,he has now fully recovered and is all set to get back to his best form.

A lot of eyes would be waiting to see most especially how world cup winner Paul Pogba gets to partner up with Midfielder, Bruno Fernandes at the heart of United’s midfield. Both stars have already showed glimpses of what is to come, performing excellently well in United’s warm up matches against West brom and the likes . Some may say that United could become unstoppable if such a partnership thrives, and that could be possible.

Bruno Fernandes who has been Prolific since joining United scoring three goals in 9 games and also helping them to an 11 game unbeaten run in all competitions, has come out to say that he is looking forward to working more with Pogba for United.

A lot of United fans would love the prospect of such partnership but it’ll be a selection headache for coach, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer who believes there is a good opportunity that both lads would partner up for United and believes it’s one that could work.

The challenge is, it’s not as simple as just allowing the two  stars play together there are other factors one need to look out for like the defensive aspect of the midfield. Pogba and Bruno are natural forward thinkers who is going to take up the dirty work in the midfield, you have Fred and Matic who have been doing well too i believe one of them should be included in the somewhat new shaped midfield because the blend and balance most especially in the midfield is very vital for any team. Do they really need two players of almost similar qualities? Well, quoting the words of Club legend, Ryan Giggs “good players must learn to play with good players”. We’ll wait and see how this turns out.
