Chinese Embassy Raises Alarm As Deadly ‘Unknown Pneumonia Strain’ Breaks Out In Kazakhstan

  • The unknown pneumonia broke out in Kazakhstan and has caused 1,772 deaths in the first six months of the year, has affected 628 people in June alone, including Chinese citizens.

Chinese officials have raised an alarm as an ‘unknown pneumonia strain’ that is deadlier than coronavirus breaks out in Kazakhstan.


A statement released by the embassy stated that the death rate of the new disease is much higher than the dreaded coronavirus disease.



“The country’s health departments are conducting comparative research into the pneumonia virus, but are yet to identify the virus.


“The fatality rate of the disease is much higher than the coronavirus disease,” the statement reads.


Also, Kazakhstan’s Health Ministry said that Health officials have recorded more than 32,000 cases of pneumonia between June 29 and July 5 alone, along with 451 deaths.


“About 300 people diagnosed with pneumonia are being hospitalized every day,” it added.
