Aston Villa 0-3 Manchester United

Manchester United were once again victorious in yet another game in the EPL turning in another breathtaking performance, this time the victims were Aston Villa .

Bruno Fernandes, Mason Greenwood and Paul Pogba were all on the scoresheet for United’s victory on Thursday night, setting a new Premier league goal scoring benchmark after winning by a margin of three or more goals for the fourth game in a row by defeating Aston Villa.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side arrived Villa park on the back of an impressive run of forms and also looking to extend their recent winning run and unbeaten streak dating back to January 17 across all competitions.

United named the same starting eleven they used in the last three previous games. Villa managed to delay United’s fire for the first 25 minutes of the game it was all looking good for Villa, (who are doing all they can to stay in the league) at a point. But the breakthrough came just before the half-hour mark as Bruno Fernandes won a penalty when he was brought by Ezri Konsa in the box. The Portuguese scored by sending Pepe Reina the wrong way to score his 8th goal in his 15th appearance for United to continue his dream start for United.

His goal sparked that fire and it was all United till the end. United continued to push for another goal and got it right before half time. Mason Greenwood drove in a fearsome shot past the Villa goalkeeper to give United a healthy lead right before halftime.

Paul Pogba rounded off things for United in the 58 minute receiving a pinpoint corner from Bruno Fernandes and burying the ball into the far corner.

United still remain fifth but sit one point below Leicester in fourth as they look to claim a Champions league spot.
