EPL Match Report: Sheffield United 3-0 Chelsea- Lampard’s men suffer potential Champions league blow.

Sheffield surprisingly eased past Chelsea in an entertaining encounter at the Bramall road to give Chelsea’s Champions league ambitions a big scare.

Chelsea before this match were on a two match winning run defeating Watford and Crystal Palace though those wins came after Chelsea’s lost to West Ham on July 1st but turned in an abject performance at Sheffield. David McGoldrick got his first premier league goal when he opened the scoring for Sheffield in the 18th minute. Oli McBurnie scored a strong header past the half hour mark to give Sheffield a comfortable First half lead. But things were Somewhat rounded off in the 77th were David McGoldrick got his second goal on the day and and a third for the Blades..

Though Chelsea dominated play mostly in the game having a 76% total ball possession, but they could not produce any good yield out of those possessions.

Chelsea could find themselves in sixth by Monday night as they sit in third spot with one point above Leicester in 4 points who play away to Bournemouth on Sunday and two points above Man United in Fifth who play Southampton on Monday. If both teams were to win Chelsea could drop to Fifth by Monday night.

Not the best time for a loss one might I say.
