590 Nigerian evacuees return from the UK
Evacuees who came into Nigeria from the UK due to the coronavirus pandemic are at least 590.
Their return was announced by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) on Twitter. The commission revealed that they arrived on two separate flights.
The first flight conveyed 261 returnees and arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at exactly 7pm while the second flight conveyed 329 citizens and arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at exactly 8pm.
NIDCOM said that in line with the guidelines of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control as well as the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, the returnees would undergo a 14-day self-isolation.
