EPL Match Report: Manchester City 2-1 Bournemouth•°-The Citizens push Cherries closer to relegation.

It was a narrow victory one could say but it was one that proved to be really costly for Bournemouth. As their league survival fight took an inevitable dent at the hands of Red hot City.

David Silva opened City’s account on the night with a 6th minute goal in what appears to look like City would run over Bournemouth quickly. But it wasn’t easy the second goal came in the 39th minute from Gabriel Jesus to give Guardiola’s men a comfortable first half lead.

Bournemouth went into the match feeling confident, riding on the back of a 4-1 Victory over Champions league hopefuls, Leicester City. But they had no such joy in Manchester.

David Silva’s amazing Premier league career gradually winds down with him still proving his class in every match played this season. Scoring an amazing free kick in the sixth minute and also providing the assist for City’s second.

Bournemouth could only get a consolation through David Brooks two minutes from time as they head ever so close to relegation with two matches left to play.

Good game from both sides but in the end the winner was City.

In another Wednesday encounter-

Burnley were held Wolves to a 1-all draw at the Turf Moor.
Woods scoring a 90+6minute penalty to salvage a point for Burnley moving them up to Ninth place cancelling Jiménez’s 76th minute opener for Wolves who now misses the chance of catching fifth place United.
