Sudan’s ex-leader Omar al-Bashir is on trial facing charges for the 1989 military coup that brought him to power.
He faces the death penalty if convicted.
He is also wanted by the ICC for orchestrating alleged war crimes and genocide in Darfur, which killed over 300,000 people.
