Osun State Governor signed N82.2Bn 2020 Reversed Appropriation Budget into Law

Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola yesterday 27tj of July signed 2020 reverse appropriation budget into law.

The governor who disclosed this on his social media handle, said that 129.5b initial budget was revere to 82.2Bn.

The Governor said “yesterday, I signed into law The State of Osun 2020 revised Appropriation Act of N82.2bn, passed by the State Assembly. The budget, was reduced from the initial N119.5b to N82.2b. This represents a 32% reduction.

The downward review of the 2020 budget was prompted by the present economic realities occasioned by the ravaging Coronavirus. Therefore, the revised budget estimates were prepared to address the aftermath of the pandemic in our State.

We are prioritizing Agriculture, Mining and Tourism in line with our economic recovery plan. We’ll also be providing more support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the State to stabilise and develop our economy.”
