Drogba snubbed by Ivorians in FIF elections

Didier Drogba built schools in Ivory Coast. Built a football academy in Ivory Coast. Donated £3 million pounds, the whole of his Pepsi endorsement deal sign-on fee, to build a hospital in Ivory Coast. Bought and gifted over 5,000 underprivileged school pupils with school kits.

Donated his clinic in Abidjan for the treatment of Coronavirus patients. Once sponsored the Ivorian national team for international matches. Done numerous things in Ivory Coast like speaking to the rebels and used his influence to stop a 5-year civil war ravaging his country.

But last week, he contested to be President of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF), and he didn’t get ONE VOTE. No one voted for him.

Some of the people that voted said Drogba didn’t ‘play his politics well’
