COULD IT BE CONSPIRACY, NEGLIGENCE OR CARELESSNESS?
The picture of the remains of Senator Kashamu who was reported to have died of coronavirus circulating the media space with the multitude crowd trying to take a picture and touch the corpse should trigger an immediate action from the NCDC.
As it is today, Nigeria keeps playing to the gallery with the entire pandemic crisis. I could not stop thinking what exactly happened that the remains of a coronavirus pandemic victim is released to the public.
In saner climes, the government takes absolute control of such remains and safely bury it to avoid the possibility of spread.
My worries with this development triggers the following questions:
- Is this a conspiracy on the side of government to infect more Nigerians?
- Is the government really fighting Covid-19 or they are interested in looting the pandemic funds
- Can it be said that the government is careless or ignorant?
For as it is with what we have seen so far, the masses don’t care of the dangers.
Coronavirus is real. Stay protected, pass the message and stay safe.
