Some angry staff of IMO State workers lunch attack on the convoys of governor Hope Uzodinma over failure to offsets their salary arrears.
The attackers were Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission workers.
The governor convoys was attacked around Concorde Hotels, New Owerri, on Monday when he was on his way to 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze, to inaugurate an officers mess built by the state government.
According to the report, the rampaging staff were said to be numbering up to 20, includes masquerade and some of them had chain and padlocks on its body.
It was reported that the windscreen of some of the vehicles in the governor’s convoy were smashed and damaged.
But 15 of them were later arrested after the security operative overpower them.
