Nigerian and Villareal Forward, Samuel Chukwueze plays first game under new manager, Unai Emery, experiences a change in playing position.

Samuel Chukwuze has played his first game for new coach, Unai Emery who signed in as manager just last month, taking over from former coach, Javi Calleja.

Villareal played their first game since the season ended and it was a Friendly encounter between the Yellow Submarines and Segunda División side Cartagena 3-1 at the Pinatar Arena in Murcia in their first pre-season friendly on Sunday.

It was observed that in the match’s official team lineup Chukwueze switched position to the right wing of the midfield joining in a four man midfield which comprises of Coquelin, Parejo and Ontiveros.

Chukwuze is predominantly known for playing as a right-winger for both club and country. So he can cut in with his Left foot. Unai Emery is still trying to know his new players more an even more so as he fielded a different lineup in the second half of the encounter.

Villareal’s pre-season continues today.
