Researchers develop compound to kill gram-positive and gram-negative antibiotic-resistant superbugs

Researchers at the University of Sheffield have developed a new compound that is capable to kill each gram-positive and gram-negative antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

Gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria have special cellphone wall structures, but the new antibiotic compound is able to ignore through the telephone wall of each varieties of micro organism and then bind to the DNA.

The findings, posted in Chemical Science, pave the way for growing new treatments for all kinds of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, such as the gram-positive MRSA and gram-negative E.Coli.

The crew from the University of Sheffield has beforehand developed new compound leads that particularly goal gram-negative bacteria, however this new compound is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial which means it is simply as nice in each types of bacteria.
