Ahead of 12th December 2020, Kogi council polls, the major contenders Team, Hon Abdullahi Suleiman Idowu and Hon Isah Abdulkarim ECOMOG has been trailing words on social media space(Facebook).
Recall that, the Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello announced the council election for 21 local government areas to hold on 12th December, 2020.
Since the announcement, Team ECOMOG and Team IDOWU has been on Cyber space campaigning for their principals. Although there has been campaign prior to the Governor’s announcement but completely differs from the current situation.
Team Idowu campaign is based on Sub-Zoning system and feel Girinya ward is been marginalized.
Team ECOMOG believe Sub-Zoning don’t exist in the chairmanship office in Kogi Local Government Area thereby no ward or community is been marginalized, stressed that no legal back up to their claim. ECOMOG aspiration is legitimate and have Constitutional back up, Team ECOMOG added.
