Oshiomhole plans to militarise Edo elections deploys military from Imo to Benin, Iyamho homes — PDP

Plots by the sacked National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to influence and militarise the Edo governorship election scheduled for September 19 have come to light as military personal and vehicles have been sighted at his Benin and Iyamho residence barely 7 days to the election.

Stakeholders in the elections have in the past few days called for peaceful and calm election in Edo, but the new tactic of the former Edo governor may jeopardise the election, observers warn.

The military vehicles bearing the inscription, “Operation Search And Flush Imo State,” were spotted at Oshiomhole’s home in Okorotun, GRA, Benin, confirming allegations that Oshiomhole is in cahoots with the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, to deploy the military in scuttling the poll come Saturday, Sept. 19.
