Kai Havertz had previously struggled in his first two games in the Premier League receiving some criticism in the process but the German made no more mistake, almost turning in a perfect performance against Barnsley.
Another good performer, Tammy Abraham opened scoring in the first half and Kai Havertz made it 2-nil for Chelsea to bring an end to the first half.
Chelsea were beyond clinical in the second half with Ross Barkley putting the Blues 3-nil up the 49th minute. Havertz added Chelsea’s Fourth and Fifth grabbing his first senior Hattrick in the 65th minute. Olivier Giroud rounded off things 10minutes later to give Chelsea a convincing 6-nil victory.
Chelsea will face Tottenham in the Fourth round if the Former recieve a bye due to thier opponet for Yesternight, Leyton Orient having some of thier players test Positive for the Coronavirus. Chelsea may be rewarded for thier victory with a Fourth round meeting with thier former Manager, Jose Mourinho.
Chelsea’s next encounter is on Saturday against West Brom on Saturday.
