Earlier this morning Hon. Isah Abdulkarim visited the scene attacked by unknown gun men and hoodlums along Abuja-Koton Karfe express highway last night where travelers and commuters were abducted.
As part of efforts to arrest these hoodlums, the erstwhile senior special assistant on security to the governor and the chairmanship flag bearer of All Progressive Congress for Kogi Local Government had a closed door session with the CPS Oghenedoro Samuel DPO to Gegu Beki Division, the head of DSS and SSS in the local government.
In the meeting, the DPO of Gegu Beki division thanked and acknowledged the presence of Hon. ECOMOG, stressed further that, the major challenges of the division is mobility, says, the patrol vehicle of the division has remain damaged and malfunctioned for months as a result of maintenance thereby limiting the patrol team from carrying out its functions.
The incoming executive chairman didn’t hesitate as he ordered for the procurement of a new battery and other necessary parts of the vehicle which has rendered it stationary for months to enhance proficiency in tracking crime and criminality in the area, however he warned that, the Nigeria Police Force must show commitment and dedication to its service, noting that, protection of lives and property must not be treated with levity.
Similarly, Hon. ECOMOG also made a call to the office of NRSC, Gegu Beki division, while at the division, he pleads for the continue synergy and collaboration with the Nigeria police force, noting that December is some days away, the road will be heavily pressed, hence it should be properly monitored and patrolled constantly to save lives.
