National population commission says Nigeria has no fewer than 3,215 under five related deaths .Adding that northern part of the country contributed over 80% of the incident.
A researcher Dr Micheal Kunnuji ,senior lecture at university of Lagos said that transportation is a factor of the increasing death rate of children.
He therefore urged tge government to examine certain arears such as providng efficient ambulance services in rural areas where children can be taken to facilities for proper medical attention.
The NPC chairman represented by the honorable federal commissioner Abubakar Danburum said in a speech delivered at the east zone dissemination of verbal and social autopsy , that there must be purposeful interventions and programmes to check the trend.
