The Government has declared that they have met the demands of the endsars protesters ,which mainly has to with abolishing special Anti-robbery squad (SARS) as a unit in the police force.
But it was also said that a new unit called special weapon and tactics(SWAT) was formed,and about 400 are being trained.
From the name given ,it can be deduced that the both unit are similar in operations.
How then do we believe this formed unit would be different from the abolished group?
Mind you,the masses were not against the police making up the SARS group,but was against their actions of brutality.
Meanwhile,the protesters pointed out that the protest was all about bad governance.
Abolishing SARS and Increament of salaries for police force are not the final answers to the protesters demands.
Good governance,accountability and transparency are the reasons for the fight.
