A man found an abandoned baby in the bush while going to answer the call of nature in Delta State.
According to report, the man went into the bush to defecate when he heard the cry of a baby. He quickly trace the cry and found a baby covered in white cloth.
It was gathered that the man alerted residents in the area who came to assist him in examining the baby.
The baby was said to have broken a hand and also suffered a swelling eye due to maltreatment the baby was reportedly subjected to by the mother.
The baby was later taken to a clinic for treatment.
