The National population commission says Nigeria population has risen from 198million to 206 million in a space of two years.
The Chairman of the NPC, Nasir Kwarra, said this at a press conference on commencement of the next Enumeration Area Demarcation in Abuja on Tuesday.
He said in the absence of census,formal projections is been carried out.
While announcing the commencement of the Enumeration Area Demarcation exercise, Kwarra said about 260 local government areas out of the 774 in the country had been fully demarcated.
He stated that the 11th phase of the exercise would begin on December 9, 2020 and end on January 20, 2011.
