Man Slumps And Dies During Nigerian Army Screening In Akwa-Ibom (Photos)

A man identified as Victor Asuquo Akpan slumped and died on December 7 while taking part in the Nigerian Army screening exercise, Ibawa, Akwa-Ibom State.

The man was mourned by friends and family who described him as a peaceful person.

A friend Edet James took to his Facebook page to mourn the deceased.

He wrote:

“ANNOUNCEMENT! ANNOUNCEMENT!! ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

With a broken heart, regret, pain an tears in our eyes but with total summition to the will of God.

On behalf of the family of late bro. Victor Asuquo Akpan , who slumped and died on 7th December, 2020 during the Nigerian Army screening at Ibawa.

We announce to the general public that his lifeless body will leave Oku Iboku tomorrow Thursday 10th December, 2020 to his home town Ikot Uso Akpan Itam, Itu LGA, Akwa Ibom State for the funeral service as will be conducted by The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Mbiokporo Parish by 9AM.

Friends, PYPAN members, Boy’s Brigade members, choir members and well wishers are all invited. Thanks

Rest in Peace comrade Victor Akpan till we met in that glorious morning.”
