Five family members and two others were killed in an attack by gunmen suspected to be Fulani in Gora Gan village, Atyap Chiefdom, Zangon Kataf LGA of Kaduna State.
According to report, 17 houses were raided by gunmen in an attack that occurred Thursdays night, December 17 at about 8pm.
The victims have been identified as Ayuba Sheyin, 65; Jummai Sheyin, 55; Patience Sheyin, 5; Goodluck Sheyin,11 and Saviour Sheyin, 14, all of the same household. Others are Peter Akau, 70 and 35-year-old Joel Ishaya.
A Facebook user, Gladys John whose family was affected by the attack took to her account to narrate the attack.
She wrote:
“Again, my maternal hometown Gora gan in Zango kataf LG was attacked by armed herdsmen last night. My family has been badly hit, my uncle, Uncle Ayuba was killed, his wife, daughters and three grandchildren…
God arise for your children, this is just too much.”
