A suspected kidnapper was set ablaze by angry mob for allegedly attempting to kidnap a 4-year-old child in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The incident happened around 9:00 Monday morning, December 28 at Mufu Lanihun area of Oke-Ado.
According to eyewitness report, the suspects were trying to abduct the child when residents realized the movement and raised an alarm.
“It happened around 9:00 am today, the kidnappers were seen roaming the street with a doll at their back, before a resident who identified the child raised the alarm while they were trying to take away the boy.”
It was gathered that the suspects tried to escape but one was caught at Awolowo way and beaten before being burnt to death while two others escaped.
Two other persons suspected to be his accomplice managed to escape with injuries.
Omokoshaban learnt that the sum of N250,000 was recovered from the suspect before he was beaten and set ablaze.
