By Musa Aishat Gadabuke

Information reaching us indicated that a failed Executive Chairman of Toto LGC, Prince Nuhu Adamu Dauda holding closed Door Meeting At Rafiki hotel Keffi Will Not Retain his Chairmanship Position.

Toto LG is indeed facing big problems as you embarked on embezzling local government funds and withheld the salaries been paid to the civil servants of toto local government for over 3 to 4 months.

1.Corruption is at the root of many totonians problems in totality. Corruption takes many forms and infiltrates all civil servants in the local government area council and economic sectors. It is so sad and pathetic to hear that, the L.G Officials that are set up to build the LG and fights any form of corruption is now stealing from her own local government account.

Chapter 2 Section 15 subsection 5, of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria stated that thus: The State shall abolish all corrupt practices and abuse of power. The question is: is this State really adhering with the instruction given? The government personnel who are constituted to abolish corruption is careless about what is expected of them. The fake elected chairman who is also expected to free from and fight against corruption is also found guilty.

The current Toto LG chairman is not performing his duties and functions as promised during his campaigns, his too busy enriching his pockets, buying mansions from different local government, instead of governing Toto and Totonias effectively and efficiently without any questions marks. Toto LG is one of the most corrupt and undeveloped LG that’s underdog in the Nassarawa State during his tenure. Mathematically, it shows that Toto LG is most corrupt and undeveloped local government during PRINCE NUHU DAUDA regime.

2.Banditry & Kidnapping: many Totonias in Toto LG use to have sleepless nights. In many communities, people feel they can no longer walk around their own neighborhoods unharmed. Public safety is the most fundamental responsibility of any LG, and Toto LG has failed in this regard due to the wicked chairman we have.

3.Unemployment is a hot issue in Toto, and many people are frustrated with widespread joblessness. Unemployment in my LG is like a disease that the cure is not yet discovered it typically example of “COVID19”.

4.The economic state in my LG has really reduced. The state of buying and selling in the LG is poor and not encouraging at all. The earnings of the LG per year have reduced and affecting the LG negatively. The general level of prices for goods and services is rising and, consequently, the purchasing power of currency is falling. The salaries earned by workers can no longer buy tangible items from markets. It is a threat in the lives of many Totonias and that is one of the reasons why many workers are agitating for increase in there salaries, after the increment the council boss refused to pay workers their salaries.

5.Health issues. Heath issue is very important and crucial, but unfortunately, council boss takes it for granted, they’re no effective and proper equipments in hospitals.

6.Electricity may seem a trivial issue following other problems like banditry and health issue but how can a LG progress without a single power supply, MR chairman refused to tender our submission.

7.Our brothers and sisters use study in unfavorable and inimical condition, that is, there is no proper and enough class rooms for them to study.

  1. Toto youths center has been dilapidated for over a decade, the youths center where APC stakeholders and stalwarts held their meetings last week was rough and our council boss can’t renovate.
  2. Mr chairman where is the allocation given to you by the state government to elevate and ameliorate the plight of your electorate whom gave you mandate.

Mr chairman posterity will never forgive you, if you didn’t refund our local government funds and pay our fathers and mother’s their gratuities.
