Comrade Victoria Asher, The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Benue State chapter has died.
Late Victoria was said to have passed on after given birth to twins today Saturday 30th of, January 2021.
The statement issued by the NUJ State Secretary, Moses Akarhan disclosed that she died at Federal Medical Centre Makurdi, Benue State capital.
According to the statement, she was said to have been delivered of a baby boy and a girl via cesarean section (CS) before complications that lead to her deaths begin at about 8am
The deceased who worked with the state-owned radio station became the NUJ Chairman, Benue Council in December 2018 following the death of David Ukuma who held the post for two months before he died.
