As early as 8:00am this morning, our Behind Bars Human Rights Edo State Team headed by Comr. John Kadiri visited the pregnant woman who was beaten by her husband last night in Benin City,Edo State.
We have intervened as we promised and we employed ADR to resolve the issues between the couple.
The whole issue was because of money for food and cooking gas.
We raised the sum of N25,000 for the family and issues were settled amicably.
The family appreciated our gesture and promised to continue to live in peace and love.
