Allowing Twitter, Facebook, Google and others to operate in Nigeria without paying tax to Nigeria is another form of colonization

By Jones FCC

That Twitter and other big tech companies have been operating in Nigeria without registering and paying tax to the FG is a confirmation that our FG is being run by half-dead imbeciles all these years. Do you know how many billions of Dollars we must have lost to these companies over these years?

G7 countries had few days ago struck a deal to impose higher taxes on these big companies, while Australia recently had a standoff with Google and other tech companies over the need to get them to pay a percentage of their income to news media organizations in their country. After some initial reluctance, these companies gave in to the demands of the Australian government.

Allowing these companies to operate in Nigeria without paying tax to Nigeria is another form of colonization and every Nigerian should stand with the FG in ensuring that they get these companies, not just to start paying taxes, but also to pay the backlog of taxes they have evaded over the years.

We can quarrel all we want with the imbeciles running our government, but we shouldn’t allow that to make us lose sense of our nationhood.

NIGERIA, FIRST!
