Buhari Govt renews Obaseki’s appointment as UBTH CMD

The Government of President Muhammad Buhari ohas renewed the appointment of Prof. Darlington Obaseki as Chief Medical Director, of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin, Edo State.

His reappointment was disclose in a statement on Tuesday by the hospital’s Head of Public Relations Unit, Joshua Uwaila.

Joshua said CMD received the letter of appointment for his second term from the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire in Abuja on Monday.

He however Congratulate him, and described the renewal of his appointment by the President Buhari Regime as an attestation that he performed well during his first tenure.


Ehanire urged him not to rest on his oars and work harder to exceed his achievements.

Obaseki has, since his first appointment as CMD on August 17, 2017, embarked on a massive transformation of the hospital’s infrastructure and services.
