Nigerian midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has joined Turkish Super Lig club Denizilspor on a one-year contract, the club confirmed on Friday. Denizlispor have the option to extend the contract by another year.
The 28-year-old former Lazio midfielder previously had stint with Denizilispor in 2020 making nine league appearances for the club. He also played for another Turkish club Trabzonspor between 2016 and 2019.
Onazi who was part of the Super Eagles squad that won the 2013 AFCON has not played for the team since 2018. He hopes to return to the national team set up with his recent return to the Turkish Super Lig.
