Ours is a generation where the most creative people, spend their most productive times, creating lies. No, not fiction for entertainment, but outright falsehood aimed at deceiving the populace: Fake news, scaremongering, blackmail, just name it!
Hate is the new language of faith. Hateful rhetoric, xenophobia, stereotyping passed off as nationalism.
Hypocrisy is the new test of wisdom and decorum. How much you are ‘loved’ and accepted depends on how well you are able to hide your true self. The big thief is a saint as long as he joins in stoning the petty thief caught stealing candies.
It is a generation where it is more important to trend than to be truthful. Just find out the most trending topic and fall in line. It doesn’t matter if that is all lie. We had rather gone with the mob than risk being mobbed for daring to stand out.
Philanthropy is now an investment in public relations rather than a genuine drive to better humanity. A billionaire cannot give the hungry beggar a loaf of bread, unless there is a paparazzo on the trail.
Deliberate ignorance is great wisdom. We keep blind eye to truth and desperately pretend not to know what is as glaring as the marks on our palms. Okay, that’s wisdom. Why must you concede to a truth when you can pretend otherwise.
Religion is basically for fashion, never a genuine search after Truth or God. The most religious are the least believers in the existence of any God.
