A visually impaired man, Mmaduabuchi Nnofu, 47, has allegedly been killed and burnt to death by his younger brother, Onyedika Nnofu, over ownership of a piece of land in Anambra state.

According to ABSTV, the incident was said to have occurred on Sunday, January 30th, 2022, at Eziagulu village, Ekwulobia in Aguata Local Government Area of the state.

A statement by theJoint National Association of Persons with Disability (JONAPWD), said, “Our sources told us that Nnofu was at home relaxing when the suspect came in with weapons and k!lled him before setting him abl#ze within the compound. We suspect that he was m#rdered over a family land that had been duly assigned to him by their late father.

Late Mmaduabuchi, while alive, confided in us that the land in question was willed to him by their late father, who also willed another one behind his to the prime suspect. He also told us that his brother since then had tried all he could to take over the land by force for sale.”

Irate youth attempted to linch the suspect but were prevented by the intervention of the police.
