In fact, 1 Libyan Dinar equalled $0.82781 in 2011. Gaddafi wanted to give all African countries the Dinar to strengthen their economy. He also had more than 140 Tons of Gold and similar amounts in silver which he wanted to distribute accross Africa to be used in trading.
After NATO and the United states invaded Libya, the country had never remained the same. The conflict hampered the provision of basic services including health and electricity till date.
Muammar Gaddafi committed some crimes, but what he did in Libya, how many African leaders or presidents can boast of his achievements?
