Igbo Leaders Will Take Turn to Receive National Embarrassment For Not Being the Voice of Igbos

By Comr. Chinwendu Chikwem

It is the Igbo adage that says “Oke soro ngwere ma Mmiri, ya ko ngwere o ga ako oke”. Igbo leaders thought they would be treated the same as their Northern colleagues, if they joined forces to reduce Igbo race to nothing.

From the list positions of any political office to the highest office or appointment, leaders are elected or appointed to speak for their people without fear or favour of anything, but it is unfortunate that instead of our leaders to speak for us, they speak for their selfish ambitions, interest and fancies controlled by stomach infrastructure.

Most of our leaders in the southeast have mortgaged the future of their constituents, Constituencies, LGAs, States in the altar of mediocrity, boy boy to their Northern colleagues, who believe they will be supported and treated the same. They have refused to lend their voice to all ugly situations or maltreatment of the Ndi Igbo from the Federal, but will shamelessly defend their cluelessness and deficiencies with intimidations and operation pull him down syndrome.

The show of shame at Sen. Rochas Okorocha’s residence yesterday by EFFC is clear confirmation/ indication that “Oke soro ngwere ma Mmiri, ya ko ngwere, o ga hu ako oke”. You don’t sell your tribe, value, culture and heritage for your personal interest and fancies. Sen. Rochas and many other Igbo leaders failed to speak for Ndi Igbo, but were busy holding briefs for those that hate and don’t value IGBOS for anything.

What happened to Rochas at his Abuja residence can not happen to any Northern leader, be it the weakest one amongst them because they have a voice and when they speak, nonsense ends. But, in the case of Sen. Rochas Okorocha, no reasonable Igbo person will speak for him, because he by himself has devalued IGBOS.

What happened to Rochas will be elementary to what will happen to some of the current Governors of the Southeast, who have been busy serving monsters against the development and growth of their people.

I may not have passed this message the way it is in my mind, but trust you understand me.
