Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), has threatened to disrupt campaign by any Igbo Presidential candidate in the north.
An Arewa Group, issues the threat flowing Ohanaeze statement regarding stoping any Northerners from Campaigning in the east.
Comrade Isah Abubakar, the President of NYCN, who issues the unbehalf of the group was responding to threat of the apex Igbo socio-political and cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide which said it will oppose Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on which platform the former Vice President recently emerged Presidential candidate.
“If they don’t do the needful, we may be forced to also take a drastic action against South East presidential candidates. We won’t allow them to set their foot on our land. Otherwise, the consequences will be grave. It is time radical and ethnic chauvinistic groups like the Ohanaeze are cut to size,” Isah said.
